The Prime Hockey (“Prime”) program represents the highest level of hockey within the entire Play Hockey network. Prime teams are invite-only, and rosters include players from all over North America between the ages of 11 and 15. Prime Hockey teams are formed to compete in specific tournaments in both North America and Europe. Players who play in the Prime program have access to all of Play Hockey’s elite programming and exposure events.

The Minnesota Ice Cougars are one of the largest female hockey programs in Minnesota. The Ice Cougars are widely respected for their long-term development pathway, preparing female players to be the next college student-athletes on collegiate hockey teams. The program forms teams for players between the ages of 7 and 18 that compete in competitive and recreational divisions. As a part of its player development pathway, the program offers a number of tailored skill development clinics.

The Midwest Hockey Program (“Midwest”) forms over 50 spring and summer hockey teams in the states of Minnesota and North Dakota. Midwest empowers its coaches to develop a plan for each season that is tailored to specific teams. This is based upon the development needs of its players. As a result, no two teams are the same and players get the most out of their season. Midwest forms teams for players between the ages of 7 and 14, and its teams commonly participate in competitive and recreational divisions.

Bishop Kearney Selects ("BK Selects") is recognized as one of the premiere hockey academies in North America, featuring the highest level of Tier 1 hockey integrated with a private, Roman Catholic school. The Boys' program fields teams who compete in events across the U.S. and Canada, while also participating in the Northeast Pack and Beast leagues. With an extremely competitive 65+ game schedule, off-ice training, skill development sessions, utilization of analytic software and professionally run practices, BK Selects is focused on preparing ambitious young student athletes for a successful future. Play Hockey is proud to partner with Bishop Kearney in identifying top talent for the BK Selects Boys program.
