We are proud to recognize Sean Driedger as the PLAY Hockey Community Member of the Month presented by MLT Aikins!

As Head Coach of the 2014 Female Freeze, Sean brought an exceptional level of knowledge, passion, and commitment to the team. With extensive experience leading community skill programs and coaching U15 AA hockey, Sean chose to step into the role leading the female Freeze, despite not having a child on the roster, hoping to give back to the game and support young female athletes.

Sean placed an emphasis on skill development, creating a fun, supportive environment where players could learn, grow, and build confidence. His impact was clear throughout the season, helping first-time spring hockey players develop new skills while creating a love for the game. His dedication was evident when, during an early Sunday morning session, Sean saw an opportunity to provide a highly personalized practice experience for the attending athletes. Choosing not to cancel, he offered intensive, one-on-one skill sessions and even welcomed younger siblings to join, ensuring every moment was maximized for learning.
