Event Details

The Play Hockey Spring and Summer Program focuses on hockey, friendship, and fun! Our camps consist of innovative and challenging on-ice sessions that focus on both player and goalie development including power skating, positioning, stick handling, shooting, and strong character-building activities. The off-ice portion is comprised of cutting-edge strategies to build stronger, faster, quicker, and smarter players, while still incorporating fun developmental games. Much like traditional summer camps, young athletes will spend the entire day working hard and having fun with our camp staff.

FAQ

How does my son get invited to a Prime / Invite-only event?

Participants for our Prime teams (tours & tournaments) and other individual entry events are selected by our coaches and staff. In most cases, players are scouted in person and invited to participate in our programs.  We also use feedback from our Spring coaches to determine player invitations for the following Spring/Summer.  If you would like your child to be considered, please fill out the Inquiry form.

What is your cancellation policy?

My child would love to attend a tournament, but doesn’t have a team. Can they still play?

For some events, we are able to accept “free agents'' and place an individual on a Participating Team’s roster. Please reach out to the Tournament Director for the event you’re interested in to see if there is an open spot! Their contact information can be found directly on the Tournament Details page. 

I’m not sure which event is right for me. Can I talk to someone to help recommend the right one?

Do you offer discounts for multiple teams?

We love to establish relationships with our customers and recognize those that continue to choose Play Hockey for their amateur hockey experiences. Please direct your inquiry to the relevant Tournament Director or Program Manager.

What level of hockey are your tournaments?

Play Hockey offers tournaments across all levels, from Recreational / Open to Elite. Please contact us today and we can assist you with finding the right offering for your Player or Team.

Do you have female programming?

Of course! We offer female only tournaments, female specific teams, and a number of co-ed tournaments with female divisions. Please fill out our contact form <here> and we will be in touch to walk you through our female programming!

RYAN SANTANA

  • Ryan grew up playing for the California Wave program out of Westminster, CA. His team went on to win the Bantam Major AAA National Championship in 2003.
  • He was drafted into the USHL and played for the Green Bay Gamblers and Des Moines Buccaneers before finishing his Junior career in the BCHL, playing for the Vernon Vipers. With Vernon, Ryan was a part of the 2009 RBC National Championship Team.
  • He was also awarded the Tubby Schmalz Award for sportsmanship from Hockey Canada. He walked on to Boston University's Hockey Team before earning a scholarship for his Junior and Senior seasons, playing 122 games over his 4 years at school. After graduation, he went on to play in the East Coast Hockey League for the Reading Royals, South Carolina Stingrays and Greenville Road Warriors.
  • From the time Ryan was 15 years old, he has been coaching kids between the ages of 6-18, mostly through hockey schools and camps, but also on travel teams.
  • He has a passion for the game of hockey and loves sharing that passion through coaching and teaching others.

PHIL PASSARELLI

  • Playing: Prep School (Bishop Eustace), Tier 1 (Little Flyers), Jrs (NJ Raptors), (Brownstone Bombers, MI Camp), NCAA ACHA (Rutgers University), Pro (NEHL Utica (NY) Ice Cats)
