NEWS | PLAY Hockey and RinkNet Announce Global Partnership Focused on Growing the Game
Winnipeg, MB – RinkNet and PLAY Hockey have entered into a strategic collaboration to combine each company’s unique experience, expertise, and market reach in the Hockey world to enhance deliverables and efficiencies in youth Hockey. This partnership will also present an opportunity to introduce new products, services, and technology to youth Hockey players.
RinkNet has the richest and deepest player information database in the industry. It covers over 13,500 teams and over 1,000 tournaments each year while tracking over 300,000 players. The database includes schedules, rosters, and player information, and its innovative systems allow you to plan your travel schedules and enter player evaluations, lists, and depth charts. Scouts, leagues, and post-secondary schools can gain access to an extensive player evaluation database, including full player history and scouting reports.
RinkNet has also recently launched “1Rink”, the only team and club management and communication app purpose-built for competitive Hockey teams and players that will create incredible exposure for our athletes. Within the app is “1Rink Recruits”, which showcases and connects players to over 3,500 scouts, coaches and recruiters that use RinkNet, the gold standard for hockey recruiting.
“We appreciate PLAY Hockey’s commitment to growing the game across all levels of the sport,” says Dan Halliburton, RinkNet V.P. of Business Development. “To this point, RinkNet's client base includes the who's who of Hockey. We are excited to expand our reach into youth sports with PLAY Hockey by providing players with tools featured in 1Rink Recruits to promote and connect themselves to the key decision-makers in the hockey community."
In addition to providing PLAY Hockey players and their families with enhanced communication, promotional, and recruiting tools, coaches can also take advantage of RinkNet’s world-class Press Room App, which offers new and innovative tools to enhance the game-day experience.
“This is an exciting partnership for not only PLAY Hockey as an organization but for all the participants across our PLAY Hockey events,” said Rhys van Kemenade, PLAY Hockey’s Chief Hockey Officer. “This will really enhance our ability to deliver player tracking and data for our athletes, along with tremendous exposure as our players compete at PLAY events going forward.”
