Introducing Drake Hunter: PLAY Hockey’s Minnesota Events Tournament Director
PLAY Hockey is excited to introduce Drake Hunter as the newest Tournament Director in the State of Hockey, bringing fresh energy and a wealth of experience to manage a series of Showcase Hockey events in Minneapolis.
With a deep passion for the game and a background rooted in Minnesota’s storied hockey culture, Drake is no stranger to the ice. Growing up in Delano, MN, he played at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels, giving him a unique perspective on what makes the sport special at every stage. His firsthand knowledge of Minnesota Hockey traditions ensures that he understands the pulse of the community and the importance of providing a seamless, competitive, and enjoyable experience for all involved.
Drake’s experience in directing tournaments has prepared him for his role. He has held various leadership positions in tournament operations across the state, working with local organizations, coaches, and athletes to deliver top-notch events. His attention to detail and commitment to fairness have earned him the respect of Coaches, Manager, Players and Parents.
As a Tournament Director, Drake is focused on continuing PLAY Hockey’s legacy of excellence while also looking for ways to innovate. From enhancing the logistics of tournament play to ensuring every team has a memorable experience, he is dedicated to improving the experience for players, coaches, and fans alike. Drake's leadership will undoubtedly play a key role in the success of the upcoming season and beyond.
